"this is my latest poem. it describes how i feel, how i try to hope that people think i'm okay. because i try to be strong but if my strength & my smile were taken away, underneath i'm not that strong at all. and it explains the emptiness that i feel."

you think you know me
when I stand strong next to you
you think you can feel I'm all there
when I smile, with you

but take down my happiness
remove my smile
take away my strength
remove all that keeps me standing there
you'll see that I'm bare
there's not one emotion there

broken, torn to pieces
ripped apart under the mask I wear
i appear warm, my soul for anyone who wants to take it
but remove my happiness, remove my heart,
take my feelings and leave all that I have, empty
just leave me, standing there

honestly I'm cold, lifeless and hurting
you think you can feel I'm all there,
well, take down my happiness,
fade all of my lifeless self...into black

take down my happiness,
remove my smile,
take away my strength,
then you'll see there's absolutely nothing there

please can you rebuild me
mend the parts that are broken
fix my aching heart
numb all of the pain, replace my emotions
with something warm again

paint on my smile and take away my tears
fill me with happiness and give me better years
for I want to be what you see
not how I feel inside

so take down my happiness
remove my smile
replace it for something that's real
take away the pain
replace it with something that's better

not a temporary fix
but something that will stay.

'it's okay, when you don't feel that strong anymore'♥

You tell me you can take on the world,
But really you've got the whole world on your shoulders.
You tell me you're okay,
But I can feel that you're in pain.♥

It's alright, it doesn't matter what you tell me,
Because I'll still be standing here,
Whether you tell me you'll keep going,
Or whether you tell me you can't go on anymore.
I'll take the weight from your shoulders,
I'll give you the strength you need,
To keep going♥

It's okay when you don't feel that strong anymore.
I know I'm not there with you all the time,
But you can still see my words,
And even if you cannot hear my voice,
I'll be right beside you, standing there.♥

You embrace the world with your kindness,
You tell me that I can be strong,
But sometimes you might not feel it,
Sometimes you feel you have to let it go,
But it's alright, it doesn't matter what you tell me,
I can read in between the lines.♥

I can feel your pain and at times I can see it too,
Etched on your usually strong, brave face
But it's alright, it doesn't matter what you tell me,
Because I'll still be standing here,
Whether you tell me you'll keep going,
Or whether you tell me you can't go on anymore.
Tears can fall down the bravest of faces,
I know they do.♥

But it's alright.

I'm strong enough to take your pain away,
Because I've felt the same way,
Many times before, too
I'll be there to catch you♥

It doesn't matter when your tears fall,

When the bravery seems a long way, from where you are.♥

You won't have to look far,

To catch your tears when they fall,
They'll rest on my shoulders,
And I'll keep you standing tall.
